Crews were called to the 3,000 block of east 8th street in des moines just before 4 00 this morning. When crews arrived there were , flames and smoke coming from the house. Officials tell us no one was home at the time of the fire but they do believe someone lives there. They believe the home sustained about 20,000 in damages. A des moines mother is put behind bars thursday for leaving her kids alone in an unlocked car at walmart. When customers spotted the three children alone inside a parked car they alerted police. An update on the earthquake damage up in napa. The estimate for damage to private homes and businesses in the city is up to 300 million so far.
