Look at right now boeings up 1 , you are also seeing 3m with an up arrow as they both announced buybacks and dividend increases. Theres a look at 3m, a gain of 2. 8 , so lets break it down. 3m raised their Quarterly Dividend by 35 , and boeing by nearly 50 . Boeing, by the way, approving a 10 billion buyback, so thats news there, and 3m said it would buy back up to 22 billion shares in the five years through 2017 and also in addition to raising the Quarterly Dividends moving forward with some acquisitions.
