Falmouth Sailing Week online entry launched

Falmouth Sailing Week has just launched its first online entry system for those wishing to enter this prestigious regatta taking place in August.
Jane Wright from the Port of Falmouth Sailing Association says that after winning the British Yachting Awards 2020: Event of the Year, the Port of Falmouth Sailing Association is planning a full seven days of what is hoped will be exciting racing.
Fourteen classes of sailing boat from Shrimper 19’s to Spinlock IRC will have an opportunity to enter either of two fleets, The Bay Fleet or The Carrick Fleet.
There are seven day regatta options and three-day series available online or day entries by contacting the race office direct. The middle Wednesday sees the standalone Ancasta Champagne Race together with a newly planned for 2021 Mainbrace Rum Race for the Carrick Fleet classes. ....

NAS SIGONELLA, Italy – The Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group (IKE CSG) is a multiplatform team of ships, aircraft and more than 5,000 Sailors, capable of carrying out a wide variety of missions around the globe. It brings multi-mission capable platforms to the U.S. Sixth Fleet area of operations with strike, ballistic missile defense, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities.
Last March, the IKE was the first aircraft carrier to conduct a logistics and maintenance period (LMP) at Naval Support Activity (NSA) Souda Bay, Greece, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During IKE’s LMP and a replenishment-at-sea (RAS), logistics teams assigned to Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella (NAVSUP FLCSI) joined efforts with multiple NSA Souda Bay departments and tenant commands to deliver critical parts, mail and provisions. ....
