Heading into the 70s today for the peninsula in the east bay. 63 in San Francisco with some eightys in the north bay, south bay, and trivalley. Well talk about a very hot weekend ahead. Just enough lift of the lowlevel clouds to wring out a few more rain drops to probably mid morning. So as you plan your day today, a few early showers, skies starting to clear around lunch time today and by the afternoon well see numbers running warmer than yesterday, upper 60s to near 70 but the sevenday forecast ahead could get close to 80 degrees. This is affecting more than 6,000 pg e customers in Discovery Bay and byron. Pg e says the recent cold weather caused the outage that could last into tomorrow night. Tonight pg e crews are in Discovery Bay, scrambling to restore those gas lines, as temperatures are expected to dip into the low 30s overnight.
