Investigators say the two 18 yearolds ditched their car after this crash early yesterday morning. Then reported it stolen. However, police, when they went to talk to the two teens, were not buying the story and both of them were arrested. The young man accused of being behind the wheel is now facing a very serious charge of attempted murder. Police say he intentionally plowed his car into a richmond officer during a weekend side show. Dramatic cell phone video taken by a bystander shows a black sedan, speeding up, and then slamming into a Richmond Police officer, who was standing in the street. The Fire District scaled back the response once the water slowed down around 3 00 allowing them to relax a little, as well. Keeping an eye on things, watching the weather. We are look at river levels just keeping abreast of whats going on. About. Were at woodside elementary, where i was talking to one of the teachers. They have airconditioning here. They got it about five years ago and she saw a dramatic improvement in the energy level not only of the students but also of the teachers. That ac really packs a punch and helps these kids out. But we found a school in richmond that does not have air conditioning. King elementary was sweltering today. Students were coming inside from recess and they were realizing it was just too hot to focus on learning. There is bound to be lost learning time as a result. There is no ac on campus because the temperature in richmond usually hovers in the 70s and the schools second floor gets especially hot as heat rises and they try to make it as comfortable for students at possible. We turn off the lights to keep it cool and try to generate less heat. Windows are open and we eliminate the heat from coming in. Out of 180 school days, we may see this once or twice.
