The health secretaryjeremy hunt made the announcement over the case of a doctor found guilty of manslaughter, after one of her patients died at leicester royal infirmary. Dr Hadiza Bawa Garba was also struck off the medical register. Hundreds of doctors signed a letter of protest about the way shed been treated, as our Health Editor hugh pym reports. A six year old boy, jack adcock, died as a result of a catalogue of errors at a leicester hospital. A serious infection was not diagnosed. A doctor, Hadiza Bawa Garba, was convicted of gross negligence manslaughter and later barred from practising. A nurse at the hospital was also convicted and struck off.
