FLOOD WATCH in effect Wednesday through Thursday morning, heavy rain could slow commutes

A FLOOD WATCH has been issued for the Baton Rouge Metro Area and locations north and west from 6am Wednesday through 6am Thursday. This includes East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Northern Livingston, Northern Tangipahoa, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana in Louisiana and Amite and Wilkinson in Mississippi. Excessive runoff from heavy rain may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Monitor forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.
