Bengaluru, Feb 21 : Members of the Panchamasali sect of Karnataka s powerful Lingayat community held a massive rally in the city s Palace grounds on Sunday to seek inclusion in the 2A reservation category for government jobs and seats in state-run educational institutes.

Bengaluru, Feb 13 (IANS) A day after the BJP s central disciplinary committee issued a show cause notice to its legislator from Vijayapura in Karnataka, Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, for his remarks against Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, Panchamasali community pontiff Basava Jaya Mruthyunjaya Swami on Saturday warned of laying siege to the Vidhan Soudha here if the notice is not withdrawn.
