Jon Alexander aka âTrapperâ was born August 3,1948. He waged his battle with cancer with an attitude of âno retreat no surrenderâ all the way through & passed at peace January 25, 2021. The scope of Jonâs life is vast and weaves many communities and individuals from coast to coast. He was an accomplished athlete, attorney, writer, poet, sports and rock & roll aficionado. He believed deeply in freedom, justice and redemption despite prior circumstances, and worked tirelessly to serve his country and community in those ways. He loved living in Del Norte County and served as District Attorney in 2010 and with the Yurok Tribe in social services. He was a weekly contributor to the Triplicate and Lost Coast Outpost where he was able to share his gift as a wordsmith in his column âAngels and Desperados.â
