NHS Volunteer Responders help people in Stamford, Rutland, Bourne and the Deepings
NHS Volunteer Responders are continuing their work in the fight against coronavirus.
The scheme, launched by the Royal Voluntary Service in the first lockdown, was created to help people who are vulnerable and lonely survive the pandemic.
Barrie Church, who lives in Uffington, decided to sign up as a phone call responder after reading a newspaper appeal for volunteers. He will also be helping with the vaccination programme.

âItâs nice to know people have someone looking after them,â he said.
âWe are trying to make peopleâs lives a bit better - it is a really valuable service.
