BARCLAYVILLE, Grand Kru County – In an effort for journalism to remain a noble and credible profession in the country as the fourth estate, coined in mediocrity times and maintain tremendous power and influence in society, Deputy Speaker Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa said media institutions should expose and shame false sources.
The Deputy Speaker also cautioned Liberian journalists to  stop writing or broadcasting false stories  to get someone to react purposely to solicit bribes.
Arguing that the press is the primary guidance of democratic practices in the world and that the only way information can’tt only be a public good but also a cherished commodity,  media institution  must  take steps to manage its reputation by exposing  source (s) who lied to them by planting that story  in or ....

Pres. Weah to Begins Nationwide Tour | Liberian Observer


Tour to focus on acquaintance, groundbreaking, and dedications
President George Weah is expected to embark on his first county tour three years after coming to power.
The tour, which is for 14-day, starts on February 12, 2021, and aimed at strengthening the President and citizenship relationship, inspect and dedicate development projects.
During the tour,  the President will also hold town hall meetings with locals, county caucuses, and administration, as well as commission projects including roads, administrative buildings, and housing units.
According to Executive Mansion, the President tour will begin in Bong County before heading to Nimba, Grand Gedeh, River Gee, Maryland, and Grand Kru Counties. The tour is expected to end on February 26, 2021. ....
