Against a backdrop of balloons â in the school colors of purple and black â Revilla Junior Senior High School graduates smiled for the camera and collected their diplomas at a walk-through graduation ceremony on Wednesday evening. The Revilla Class of 2021 includes 25 graduates, and a majority of them turned up to collect their diplomas by walking down the Houghtaling Elementary School bus line and taking photos in front of their school, with teachers and family looking on. Each graduate made a walk at staggered times throughout the evening, with 10-minute breaks between each student to keep social distance at the event. A handful of Revilla staff, as well as a limited number of guests per student, watched the graduates. ....
Coast Guard Seeks Information After Laser Strike Hits Ketchikan Boat Crew Image-USCG JUNEAU, Alaska – The Coast Guard is seeking information from the public in locating a suspect or suspects who pointed a green laser light at the cabin of a Station Ketchikan boat crew conducting underway operations Saturday night. The laser strike occurred around 8:45 p.m., while the boat crew transited north in the Tongass Narrows. The point of origin reportedly came from an area near the intersection of Baranof Avenue and Carlanna Lakes Road. The crew aboard the 45-foot Response Boat-Medium immediately averted their eyes and transited north out of range of the laser. Laser pointers can cause danger to Coast Guard boat crews due to glare, afterimage, flash blindness or temporary loss of night vision. ....
