DAVAO CITY – A 70-year-old woman went missing after a landslide incident occurred in Barangay Mt. Diwata, Monkayo town in Davao de Oro province on Monday, March 1.
The Barangay Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Council (BDRRMC) of Mt. Diwata identified the missing woman as Rizalda Matambonoy. It said two persons identified as Rico Gonzales and Maricel Edullantes were injured.
In a video shared by the BDRRMC Mt. Diwata Monkayo Facebook page, a mudslide can be seen rushing down the steep slope in Purok 22. The landslide reportedly occurred at 1:00 pm.
The BDRRMC said four houses were totally destroyed, two houses were partially damaged while a total of 10 households with 36 individuals were affected.
