Coast Guard personnel, teacher arrested in drug bust


 
The three suspects, also identified as high value drug targets, yielded P244,600 worth of suspected shabu.
 
The suspects were identified as Ryan Manuel Landingin aka “Mut” and John Capuy Gaganting, active members of the Philippine Coast Guard in Zamboanga.
 
The third suspect was identified as Marites Manuel Salvador, a teacher of the Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial School. 
 
Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) personnel of Zamboanga Police Station 11 swooped down on Atis Drive, Baliwasan, Zamboanga City Saturday morning and arrested the suspects during a drug operation.
 
The suspects are facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. ....

Zambo vessel carrying gasoline explodes, body of missing crew retrieved

The body of a missing crew member of a vessel that exploded at a private wharf in Zamboanga City yesterday was retrieved by rescuers Saturday morning, April 17.

The crew member was identified as Rene Jimlani, a crew member of the M/L Saidamae.
Two other crew members believed to have been inside the boat during the explosion remain missing.
The M/L Saida Mae, a vessel carrying 150 drums of gasoline, exploded while docked at the Petron Wharf, Baliwasan Seaside in Barangay Baliwasan, Zamboanga City. ....
