Bapat believes that one could help someone in need and learn music in return while they do so. Bapat is, therefore, offering an
online course on ‘How to listen to and decipher good music’ starting June 5. The course will be offered in exchange for a donation to a charity of the individual’s choice. More than Rs 15,000 have already been collected in just a few days following registrations.
Bapat said that for a minimum contribution of Rs 2,000 to any relief fund helping with the pandemic, one can learn the basics of music theory spread over a span of three months. “I heard about the idea from a friend and it resonated. This was an opportunity to contribute more than what I could individually. I realised I had a skill I could offer, and the thought worked out from there on
