BankBazaar IPO: "The company has secured over Rs 50 crore in two independent debt financing rounds led by Tata Capital and Nuvama Asset Management. It is also in the process of raising another round in equity in the ongoing Series D2 round. The debt round was closed early this year while the equity round is ongoing and expected to close by the coming quarter," BankBazaar mentioned.
The move is one of the measures to enhance the customer centricity and also to enhance transparency measures. The possibility of levying any hidden charges by a lender on a loan will be greatly reduced because of this. The actual annualised interest rate will also include one-time charges and other charges that are levied by the banks and NBFCs.
“The Reserve Bank of India just wants balanced growth between all segments. So what it is saying is that on the unsecured personal loan, perhaps the 24% growth rate should be lower and closer to the overall growth rates of 15% but still 15-20% growth rate is very strong growth.”
