据了解，截至目前，数字人民币试点已经有序扩大至“10+1”，即“10个城市+1个冬奥会场景”。
2019年末以来，央行在深圳、苏州、雄安、成都及2022北京冬奥会场景开展数字人民币试点测试。2020年11月份开始，又增加了上海、海南、长沙、西安、青岛、大连6个新的试点地区，形成了目前的“10+1”个试点地区。
“在一些地区开展了数字人民币红包活动，实现了不同场景的真实用户试点测试和分批次大规模集中测试，验证了数字人民币业务技术设计及系统稳定性、产品易用性和场景适用性，增进了社会公众对数字人民币设计理念的理解。”对于试点测试的情况，白皮书中如是总结。
