Really want to use these last days of june to discussion where the money is going to be made in the next six months. First half is going to be in the books in a couple of days. Its been a turbulent one. We know that what do you think is in store for the next six lets talk about the last couple of days so we can look toward the final six months. You have a 10 decline in the last five days for facebook and the immediate question for me is does that have an impact on the Technology Sector. If i look at the sectors, technology is the only leading sector in the month of june. Are we going to get weakness here out of the Technology Sector i think that extrapolates further to more weakness throughout the summer for technolo ....
Down jim, it was nice to hear becky give you props for the caution you have telegraphed in the past couple days. Watching your twitter feed it sounds like you are on alert for vying option at month end. You have could be cognizant of the fact that two days before july 4th the holiday are the two probably most strongest days in the entire year. I do think theres still too much froth you can watch nvidia today, there is a love affair with nvidia and the analysts which includes me. That one has to go up. The love for nvidia is so strong that you have to say, okay, that is your thats your bell cow here but i do think, again, that and, david, youve seen t there is that cohort of people who keep coming back to the airlines, keep coming back to the cruises, keep coming back to the tankers and those are the weakest part of the economy. It is, and for a reason you know the reason. I mean, look at the map, right thats really what you have to do at this point look at the map, jim weve been talkin ....
Second week in a row that its starting out just in the right way. Yeah. I think theres people who just feel that this great shutdown is over obviously its worldwide the spending will begin again. I keep hearing that theres a surprising number of survivors that its not as bad as we thought. With the exception of some mortgages and some credit card, the forbearance wont really reverberate through the system reverberates to the banks. I know theres people who want to try to get the banks going. I say stick with whats working. I know its boring i know people want to rotate its something that Portfolio Managers love to do. I dont like to rotate into any stocks that have numbers cut thats really important. Im looking at david faber, who looks, of course, fabulous im thinking about him because its the credit markets we have to worry about, not the stocks they look great. Our Investment Committee today will debate it we are in the red for the s p and the dow. Were off the session lows like carl pointed out, it may have had something to do with the headlines coming out of the new york Governors Press conference where he mentioned a phased out idea starting this friday the dow industrials only down 140 points the s p down the nasdaq is tech stocks up half a percent 9165 the level there our Investment Committee are making some moves today. Steve, youre seeing a couple of things happening in your portfolio. What have the recent moves done whan and what are you trading in and out of im not trading out of much i did sell some peleton. Youre looking at a big bounceback but only half of the declines from yesterday. Up by 1100 . It found some support and then it was down 5 and then it closed about where it was indicated to open. Right. But we kept saying what if the garden variety correction is 12 we got a pandemic whats a decent where do we got an additional 18 or 19 yesterday. Well, in total. Down down 18 or 19. Yeah. If it goes from here up 1,000 today youll once again be the call of the bottom you will be ill take it. I hope im the call of the bottom. I hope you are too. But its just consensus.
