Black Joe Lewis is a contemporary singer and guitarist with a bent toward vintage blues, soul, and R&B. He formed Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears in Austin, Texas, in 2007. In March 2009, Esquire listed Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears as one of the "Ten Bands Set to Break Out at 2009 s SXSW Festival.
To close out the spring 2023 semester, the U of A Bands will host three nights of concerts today, Wednesday and Thursday featuring performances by all five concert bands.
