Fifty-eight people have been arrested so far in connection with the violence that broke out in Uttarakhand's Haldwani after 10 more were arreste on Monday.
The curfew in the Banbhoolpura area of Haldwani has been relaxed from 5 am to 10 pm but will remain for the rest of the night, according to the Nainital district administration.
Authorities relaxed curfew restrictions imposed in outer areas of Haldwani on Saturday. Though the situation is peaceful, curfew continues in the Banbhoolpura area, authorities said. According to officials, heavy police deployment have been made in the city to maintain law and order.
