I am building some affordable rental houses on my property in Dripping Springs, Texas. 3 of them, one story, 1100 square feet each. I did the Pier and Beam foundation and the floors and the walls by myself. The roof sections are really a 3 man job to do safely. I hired my friends construction company to do this part of the job. Their 3 man framing team came out and I was doing some small final work on one of the houses while they worked on the other two. It was amazing to watch a team who has worked together for years. Everyone knew their job, worked quietly and paced along very fast. Before they were done for the day, they had the first two houses probably a 1/4 done. It was really clean, tight, quality work. They will be finished by next weekend..weather depending. What they will have done in a week, would have taken me 3 months. Yeah, it cost a bunch, but it is worth it. ....

Great News For Austin Homeless | 98.1 KVET-FM | Bama & Heather in the Morning

Community First village made an announcement yesterday that the will build an additional 1400 small homes to help house the homeless. This such an important announcement for our city and all of us. This will be an addition to the already 500 micro homes that are at the village. Alan Graham has done an incredible job with this project. He started Community First and Mobil Loaves and Fishes that already helps feed and house thousands in our area. Alan was my motivation to build my own affordable housing project. One of the things that is awesome about Community first is their addict success rate of 80% and you have a real opportunity to work and it gives folks a chance to get their dignity back. This will be a huge win for everybody since it will cut down on tents and camping under the bridges, litter and rats and crime in the area. ....

MG cars were built in England. MG stands for Morgan Garage. I ve got a friend who recently got his parent s MG..a 79 MGB. Red of course and he was telling me how much fun it is. It s interesting to note that he is 6 1 and fits it perfectly. I have had 4 different MGs over the years. 3 MGBs and one MG Midget. They all fit my 6 foot frame perfectly and I enjoyed them all. All were Red and all were pretty good drivers. With the MG Midget, I could stick my arm down over the door and touch the ground. Each one had some kind of electrical issues. Common with English built cars. They were all pretty fun..like a driving a go cart. ....
