The Punjab & Haryana High Court imposed a cost of Rs 1 lakh on a police officer who had handcuffed Suresh Kumar Satija, an Akali Dal member, while taking him to market in connection with investigation.
It was told to the high court that Satija was arrested by Touri on June 17, 2018, and was produced before a court the next day which granted a one-day police remand for the SAD leader till June 19, 2018.
