Throughout its long history, the Resident Evil series has continued to transform itself. After originally beginning with fixed cameras and plenty of horror mixed with a bit of camp, Resident Evil 4 saw the shift to an over-the-shoulder more action based take on the series that continued to grow in scale with each new entry before Capcom took perhaps the biggest change the series saw so far four years ago with Resident Evil 7: biohazard focusing almost entirely on horror and bringing players right into the action in a first-person perspective. Now with Resident Evil Village Capcom is once again taking a bit of a different approach as the company has now chosen to blend these elements together. With solid levels of horror in a first-person perspective combined with some of the camp that the original entries in the series were known for and more action than before, is this a worthwhile entry in this ever changing series? ....
30/04/215 It’s been one of ‘those’ weeks this week for me, with a frankly ridiculous set of events meaning that next to nothing got done. Still, I’m sure next week will be much better. I did spend some time with the PS5 version of Tony Hawks 1+2, starting over from scratch since I couldn’t be bothered with the faff of whatever nonsense it was asking me to do to get my PS4 save to work. This is part of why I mostly stick with the Series X for a lot of third party games. I also did a bunch of mobile gaming, with the mobile version of Monster Hunter Stories doing it more justice than the 3DS version. I even streamed it to the TV for a while, which was awesome. ....

ELEVEN affordable homes are set to be built in Bridport for families and young people. The project is a collaboration between South West housebuilder, Baker Estates, and Magna Housing and hopes to deliver the new homes over a two year period. The homes are being built as part of the Baker Estates’ new Palmers Meadow development. The development will be situated in Watton Park near to the Bridport Leisure Centre. The project is currently in its first phase of development and work will begin shortly. Graham Hutton, development director at Baker Estates, said: “Not only are we providing much needed affordable homes at Palmers Meadow in Bridport, but the overall construction project will also generate inward investment including new jobs for local people.” ....

This huge celebration inspired us to look back over the the series and rank every one of the Resident Evil games from worst to best. Previously we ranked all of the Resident Evil spinoff titles, this article focused purely on those mainline/numbered instalments.
