Punkin Chuckin is a beloved tradition at Rapid City s Great Downtown Pumpkin Festival, and this year, South Dakota Mines is bringing their inventive spirit to the competition. Teams from the university, including Super Mileage, Steel Bridge, Baja-SAE, and Robotics, are preparing trebuchets to launch pumpkins as far as 300 feet in a bid to squash the competition.
