Train Sim World 2 is getting two important announcements this week: a new expansion and a new release on next-generation consoles. Fans of the immersive rail simulator who bought themselves a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S will be happy to know that Train Sim World 2 is headed to next-generation consoles this summer.
On top of that, Dovetail Games announced that Train Sim World 2 is getting a new Rush Hour expansion, which will release this summer for PC, the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and will arrive with the base game for the first time on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

It’s all part of the new Rush Hour expansion, which will also be available on PS4 if you don’t own a next-gen console yet. “Rush Hour takes the authentic simulation gameplay the series is known for and places players in the operator’s seat of commuter trains navigating busy rail networks with tight schedules,” the press release reads.
