Rainbows are washing over the city. It s Pride Month. On streets, walkways, walls, shoes, T-shirts, scarfs basically anything vivid colours of the rainbow have been splashed on the surface of places and things. It seems that many people in the private sector at least are very eager to celebrate Pride.

THAILAND: Human Rights Watch today (May 27) called for Thai authorities to immediately and unconditionally drop insulting the monarchy and other politically motivated charges against children who peacefully express their opinions.

On Monday (May 24), the Central Juvenile and Family Court informed 17-year-old Thanakorn Phiraban that he has been indicted on lese majeste charges related to his speech at a pro-democracy rally on December 6, 2020, in Bangkok. Under Thailand’s article 112 of the Criminal Code, Thanakorn faces 3 to 15 years in prison if found guilty. ....
