Government faces questions over 'barely changing' nurse vacancy rate

Nurse vacancy rates in England have barely moved in the past year despite government claims of record numbers of nurses working in the NHS, the latest official figures suggest.
The NHS Digital vacancy statistics up to December 2020 show that between the second and third quarters of 2020/21, full time equivalent nurse vacancies fell from 36,963 (10%) to 36,214 (9.7%).
