Delights from Baroque Carpathia Johannes Caioni The young Hungarian ensemble The Bacchus Consort is streaming baroque music from the Carpathian Basin on New York-based Salon Sanctuary Concerts’ experimental series B Live. Seeries Artistic Director Jessica Gould, fresh off the success of her first film Babylon: Ghetto, Renaissance, and Modern Oblivion , aims to broaden the horizons of historical performance practice, especially the baroque period. The Bacchus Consort’s performance of Salamone Rossi’s Sinfonia Grave à 5 had opened Gould’s Babylon film.
