8:06 pm, Fri December 18, 2020 The police have released details on Thursday s incident in the car park of Azan Supercentre on Old Hope Road in St. Andrew in which an employee was shot by a member of the Jamaica Defence Force.
It was reported that about 12:20 p.m., the JDF Corporal was in the car park when he became embroiled in a dispute with the Azan employee.
He later gave a statement to investigators claiming he was acting in self-defence after the employee reportedly pulled a knife on him.
The soldier, who surrendered to the military police Thursday afternoon at Up Park Camp, is to undergo further questioning. ....
