The 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) wrapped up in Goa on Tuesday following the screening of 270 international and Indian films – comprising 25 feature films and 20 non-feature films.
In his acceptance speech, Michael Douglas emphasised cinema s power to unite people and promote shared humanity. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Information and Broadcast Anurag Singh Thakur for the honour.
At IFFI, Rishab Shetty won the special jury award for Kantara. Bulgarian film director Stephan Komandarev won the Best Director award for Blaga’s Lessons.
The closing ceremony of IFFI 2023 saw Persian film Endless Borders winning the Best Film Award. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Ayushmann Khurrana presented the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award to Hollywood legend Michael Douglas.
