The Syrian Pound (SYP) value sank to a record low against the U.S. dollar (USD) on the black market at the end of January.
For the first time, it exceeded 3,000 pounds to the US dollar, days after the Central Bank of Syria (CBS) issued the new 5,000 SYP note.
