(File photo) MANILA - Overseas absentee voting for Filipinos abroad has started in different embassies and consulates across the world. In a tweet, the Philippine Mission to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva showed a picture of Permanent Representatives Evan Garcia and Manuel Teehankee submitting their ballots to kick off overseas voting. The two cast their votes at the Philippine Consulate General in Geneva. The Philippine Embassy in Egypt, meanwhile, has also received its first ballot from an absentee voter and will continue to receive absentee ballots until May 9. "The voting period will be every day (including weekends) from 10 April 2022 to 09 May 2022, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. except for the last day 09 May when overseas voting ends at 1 p.m.," the embassy said in a tweet.
