21 arrested over breaches of public health regulations Updated / Wednesday, 17 Mar 2021 20:48 Crime Correspondent Twenty-one people - 17 males and four females - have been arrested in connection with public order offences and breaches of Covid-19 legislation in Dublin. Fourteen people appeared before a sitting of Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice this evening. Seven were charged and released on station bail. Gardaí say the vast majority of people are complying with the regulations, and added that overwhelming levels of compliance were reported throughout today. A number of events which were organised on social media took place, but gardaí said limited numbers were in attendance. ....

The festival theme is Dúisigh Ãire, âAwaken Irelandâ, âA clarion call to all our people across the world to throw off the long, dark months and rise to embrace the brighter days ahead.â Showcased through St. Patrickâs Festival TV – SPF TV – a dedicated TV channel at www.stpatricksfestival.ie, it will feature more than 100 events, created by artists, performers, makers and dreamers across Ireland. ....
The Shandrum Ceili Band, led by the gifted Buttevant traditional musician Alan Finn, will be among the 300 artists participating in this year s virtual St. Patrick s Day Fest on a dedicated television channel on their website SPF TV from March 12-17. The theme of the festival is Dúisigh Éire (Awaken Ireland) in which they invite people to throw off the dark days we have endured through the pandemic, and rise to embrace the brighter days ahead. The Shandrum band s performance, which was commissioned by the St. Patrick s Fest, was filmed by Kanturk s Cal Callaghan of On Track Film Company, at Doneraile Park. The house and estate are the former home of the St. Leger family and now one of the most popular parkland amenities in the country that is visited by thousands of people each year. ....
