Foul play not involved in teen's death

The Michigan State Police is releasing the results of a death investigation from over the past weekend. Troopers from the Lapeer post say the death of 16 year old Leah Conner did not involve foul play. Conner's body was found near the Mill Creek Trestle Bridge on the Wadhams to Avoca trail Sunday morning. She was reported missing from her Kenockee Township home Saturday. Leah Conner was more than just a loving daughter and sister.
The 16-year-old Avoca girl was also a singer and songwriter, said her father, Ian MacDonald. She played the ukelele and piano.
She was also a prolific artist and writer who devoured books.
I just want people to remember the spunky, artistic, wonderful person she was, MacDonald said. There s a hole in our hearts.
Leah s body was found on the Avoca Trail Sunday morning after she left for a walk at approximately 11:20 a.m. Saturday. When she didn t return, her family reported her missing at about 4:15 p.m., according to the Michigan State Police Lapeer Post. ....
