UCB floated novel scheme for Covid victims; gives Rs 10k to kin
Maharashtra based Jijau Commercial Cooperative Bank, which grabbed media headlines when it floated a member-friendly scheme of helping Covid victims by offering their kin a sum of Rs 10,000, is waiting for a VIP to inaugurate its new building.
The UCB has shifted its head office to a new location at its own premises in Amravati and at present its management is busy finding VIPs for inaugurating the office next month.
Talking about the novel idea of helping its members in tough Covid times, Jijau Commercial Cooperative Bank’s Chairman Avinash A Kothale said “We have made a budget of Rs 2.5 lakh, if there is a need we will extend it”. ....
