St. Vincent pastor Fr. Herman Fields said the congregation has long-term plans to restore the building to host new services.
“It’s a big, huge task … but it’s extremely exciting,” Fields said. “It has so much beauty already in it.”
Third Avenue United Church hadn’t held a church service for more than three years, since the end of June 2018. The decision to end worship at the church was made by a dwindling congregation that felt upkeep of the building would become too costly to continue. ....
