Two more of this country’s young men are on remand at Dodds Prison accused of having illegal firearms.Rasheed Antonio Atkins, of Clapman Drive, St Michael was sent to the St Philip correctional facility after appearing before Magistrate Manila Renee on Tuesday.The 21-year-old is accused of having an illegal gun and 13 rounds of ammunition on November 9. He was not required to plead to the indictable charges.
One man is confirmed injured in the wake of a shooting incident at 2nd Avenue Thomas Gap, President Kennedy Drive, St Michael. He left the scene by private car to go to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical attention. Another male was reportedly injured but this is yet to be confirmed. The Royal Barbados Police Force said today that a shooting victim has been identified by family as Shakem Shaquan Robert Joseph, 19, of 2nd Avenue Thomas Gap, President Kennedy Drive, St Michael.
Police public relations officer, acting inspector Rodney Inniss said yesterday that the young man had been shot to death in Richmond Gap, St Michael.
