Rolling average of new COVID-19 cases slightly higher this week, American Irish Association hosting 'Parade-for-Food' March 1-14


WOODBRIDGE – The township reported 132 new COVID-19 cases over a four-day period, which brings the total number of cases to 8,676, according to Mayor John McCormac in his coronavirus report on Feb. 26.
Thirty-two new cases of COVID-19 were reported for Feb. 22, 44 new cases were reported for Feb. 23, 30 new cases were reported on Feb. 24 and 26 new cases were reported for Feb. 25.
“These numbers are just a slight bit above all of our recent rolling averages, but they are significantly below the numbers we experienced in January into early February so we are still in a much better place,” McCormac said.
The number of COVID-19 cases include East Jersey State Prison and a number of related state facilities in the Avenel section of the township. The state reported zero new cases from their facilities over the four-day period. The total number of cases at the facilities remain at 840. ....

New COVID-19 cases in Woodbridge at an all-time high, township selected to distribute Moderna vaccine next week
WOODBRIDGE – The township reported 261 new COVID-19 cases over a four-day period, which brings the total number of cases to 4,881 according to Mayor John McCormac in his coronavirus report on Dec. 18.
Sixty-four new cases of COVID-19 were reported for Dec. 14, 87 new cases were reported for Dec. 15, 51 new cases were reported for Dec. 16 and 62 new cases were reported on Dec. 17.
“December is now officially our worst month of the year and there are 13 reporting days left,” McCormac said. “It’s been over two months since we had a day in single digits. It’s very hard to find good news in the numbers, but we do know that the number of tests being given is also higher than ever.” ....
