Babe Ruth League summary: June 9-16 Griffin Bond Boys Club rally late, tie Angels 7-7 The Avalon Bay Angels tied Boys Club 7-7, after the the Angels failed to capitalize on multiple scoring opportunities. The Angels started out strong, scoring three runs in the first inning. Luke Ledger pitched well for the team going three and a third. However, Boys Club rallied back, scoring three in the third and one in the fourth to tie the game at 4-4. The Angels added two more in the fifth and one in the sixth. Despite scoring in the sixth the team failed to deal additional damage, leaving men at second and third. The inability to capitalize on scoring opportunities was an issue for the Angels throughout the game, as they left 12 men on base. Boys Club took advantage of the missed opportunities and tied the game at 7-7 in the seventh.. ....
