Several big uprooted trees. we re on st. charles right now, one of the main thoroughfares through the garden district. this area is known for beautiful homes and large oak trees. one of those oak trees not strong enough for hurricane isaac. this massive oak came down and has taken down power lines and now made a portion of st. charles impassable along with destroying this car. you never know who you re going to need. in other parts devastated by hurricane katrina, residents in those neighborhoods aren t just staying vigilant with isaac but helping it each other survive. it s about know package who s here so if something bad happens, you know where you have to stop. now, yesterday, at fight i had the chance to speak with a former nopd auxiliary i commander. her home received four feet of water during katrina. i asked her why didn t she evacuate for isaac. she said it s a category 1. she said what really is bad is ....
