Studie: Corona beschert Kommunen mehr Hilfen als Verluste

München.Dank der gigantischen Finanzhilfen von Bund und Freistaat hatten Bayerns Kommunen
im Corona-Jahr 2020 laut einer Studie der Bertelsmann Stiftung mehr Geld zur Verfügung
als 2019. „Die bayerischen Gemeinden haben rund 1,5 Milliarden Euro mehr an Erstattung
für die Gewerbesteuer erhalten, als sie letztlich verloren“, sagte René Geißler, Professor
für öffentliche Wirtschaft der Technischen Hochschule Wildau (Brandenburg) und Mitautor
des Kommunalen Finanzreports der Bertelsmann Stiftung, der an diesem Dienstag veröffentlicht
wird.
Bayerns Städte und Landkreise erhielten demnach 2,4 Milliarden Euro von dem Hilfsprogramm
im Frühjahr 2020, nach Hessen war dies der zweithöchste Betrag in Deutschland. Finanziert ....
