Baku, 29. Juli, AZERTAC Ein Erdbeben mit einer Stärke von 7.3 erschütterte Alaska, USA in der Nähe von Sandpoint (Aleutians East, Alaska), wie der United States Geological Survey berichtete. Laut Angaben des Instituts ereignete sich das Beben am Mittwoch, dem 28. Juli, in den späten Abendstunden um 22:15 Lokalzeit in einer sehr geringen Tiefe von 6.5 km unter dem Epizentrum. Eine zweite Agentur, Frankreichs nationales seismisches Netzwerk (RéNaSS) , gab das Erdbeben abweichend mit einer Stärke von 7.4 an. Andere Quellen zum gleichen Beben sind u.a. Australiens Geowissenschaftliche Forschungsanstalt (Geoscience Australia) (Stärke 8.0), das Deutsche GeoForschungsZentrum in Potsdam (GFZ) (Stärke 7.9) und das European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) (Stärke 8.0). ....
