State Track began Thursday and continues Friday. On the boys side Wapsie Valley leads Class 1A with 19 points as Aiden Shannon was 2nd in the 3,200 meter run and the 4x800 team took 3rd place, in Class 2A Columbus has 6 points and is in 11th and in Class 4A Cedar Falls tied for 3rd place with 18 .
Wednesday night in Clear Lake at the State Qualifying Cross Country Meet the Waverly-Shell Rock girls finished 4th, which is one spot from qualifying as a team. Sydney Bochmann and Kate Nelson made State as individuals. On the boys side Waverly-Shell Rock was 10th and Austin Soldwisch qualified .
