Is making huge moves, dramatically and radically altering the law, while pretending to be doing almost nothing at all. we saw this over and over again in the most recent term, the first turn with amy coney barrett, where the majority would overturn decades of precedent and lie about it, and claim otherwise that conservative majority restored juvenile life without parole and claimed that it wasn t doing anything out of the ordinary, that it wasn t changing any law at all. the conservative majority overhauled religious liberty to strike down a huge number of covid restrictions and said, oh, we are just applying the president we have always been applying. they are doing this stuff and lying about it to the media, to our faces, to the american people, and that is what happened with row. that is why wrote that piece, it was not surprising because this is a majority that has shown itself willing to just tell untruths all the time. of course, the five ultraconservatives could ve ....

Claim otherwise. the conservative majority restored juvenile life without parole and claimed that it wasn t doing anything out of the ordinary, that it wasn t changing any law at all. the conservative majority overhauled religious liberty to strike down a huge number of covid restrictions and said, oh, we re just applying the precedent we ve always been applying. they are doing this stuff and lying about it to the media, to our faces, to the american people. and that is what happened with roe. that s why i wrote that piece. it is not surprising because this is a majority showing itself willing to tell untruths all the time. of course the five ultraconservatives could have come out with a decision in the middle of the night saying we don t believe in roe, we don t abide by it and we re overturning it. but that would take courage and candor and that s something this majority lacks. so instead the court waits 24 hours after the law has already taken effect and then issues this one-par ....

brandy, i was amazed by how powerful the 1619 project, it s a good read, by how powerful it was and how powerful the pushback to it was, it was thunderous. i think you can draw a pretty straight line from the 1619 project to the debates and the bills about critical race theory right now in school districts across the country. yeah, i think powerful is the perfect word here, because specifically nikole hannah-jones is very powerful. like, she is this is like if, for conservative people on the far right, this is like if aoc had been up for tenure at that university. the conservatives would have come out of the woodwork to fight that. and for the last year or more, the far right conservatives or ultraconservatives have been ....

Trying to discredit and fight back against her every way that they could, so you ve seen stuff on turning points usa, tons of videos, all over fox news trying to discredit the 1619 project, which was an incredibly well-reported piece of journalism, like you said. it s not surprising to me that because she was so polarizing and ultraconservatives just really disliked her and the message that the 1619 project brought, that they wanted to fight against it. it was a sort of natural conclusion to what s been happening over the last year. the 1619 project just sort of laid out receipts for something that people of color have been saying for a very long time, which is that the legacy of race in this country still has aspects that affect people of color today. and if you re still struggling with that contention, you just may need to read the 1619 project or get you some black friends. jenny, i wonder if i can get you ....

Back to talk to the high ranking officials, and in iran, that means they hope that the supreme leader would approve the text they have agreed. with this new president in iran, what is going to be the impact of that? we ve heard some fears from israel which we will come to shortly, but in terms of how that can change the evolution of the talks. so, raisi comes from the hardliners, the ultraconservatives, the ones that are supremely loyal to the supreme leader, the ones who are ideologically driven against the us in all its shapes and forms. these are people who were against the original deal back in 2015 and three years ago when the united states withdrawn under president trump said, you see, we said iran shouldn t trust the us and we were right. ....
