A longtime vendor who supplies caps and gowns for graduating seniors may have a chance to keep working with the Broward school district but also could potentially face a criminal investigation.
The complaint has prompted the school district to hire an outside audit firm, and according to multiple sources, search the cellphones and emails of board members and administrators.
The school district began an investigation after Chief Communications Officer Kathy Koch was subpoenaed by statewide prosecutors. They quizzed her about a rally she organized for former Superintendent Robert Runcie after he was arrested on a perjury charge.
