Sunday, 14 March 2021, 5:43 pm Auckland Blue shot to the top of the NZRL National 20s ladder with a 34-4 road victory over the South Island on Sunday afternoon. Doubles to powerful Richmond centre Ben Kosi and captain Zyon Maiu’u did much of the damage for the visitors, who led 8-4 at the break before scoring 26 unanswered points in the second spell to record a comprehensive victory. Unfortunately there were some negatives to emerge from the game as well, with the loss of Mt Albert flyer Nehumi Teu to what appeared to be a serious lower leg injury and an injury to Auckland product turned ....

Press Release – Auckland League Auckland White suffered their first loss of the NZRL National 20s on Saturday, going down to Central Districts 26-24 at Opaheke Sports Park. Auckland had led by two at the break, but a second half full of errors – coupled with two players being sent to the sin bin – saw the hosts unable to kick on and get the result. An Oscar Amosa try with two minutes left in the game did hand Francis Meli’s side a chance to tie things up at 26-all, but Doux Kauhiva’s conversion was wide. The loss leaves Auckland White now facing an uphill battle to qualify through to the April 10 grand final ahead of taking on Auckland Blue in Round 4. ....

Friday, 22 January 2021, 6:15 am Upon signing with UK Super League side the Leeds Rhinos this week, Manurewa Marlins junior King Vuniyayawa took time to thank the south Auckland club for helping him to achieve his dream. The 25-year-old forward appeared for Manurewa in Auckland s Crown Lift Trucks Fox Championship as recently as 2019, before going on to make his NRL debut in 2020, playing five first-grade games with the New Zealand Warriors before suffering a season-ending broken hand. Vuniyayawa, who is a capped Fijian international, also played first-division league with Howick and Papakura prior to making his NRL debut. Accompanied by his agent from Aria ....
