The commencement program took place Friday, June 4, in the high school gymnasium. 8:25 pm, Jun. 4, 2021 × Alexia Taylor, a Class of 2021 graduate of Alexandria Area High School, receives a handshake from Principal Chad Duwenhoegger after receiving her diploma during commencement ceremonies Friday, June 4. Taylor is the daughter of Kevin and Nicki Taylor. After a year of mask mandates, distance learning combined with in-person learning because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Alexandria Area High School Class of 2021 had a near-normal graduation ceremony. Even masks were optional and few and far between. Commencement ceremonies were held in-person in the high school s gymnasium Friday, June 4.
