Charge dropped against former Weston schools employee accused of stealing gas

STAMFORD A larceny charge was dropped against the former transportation coordinator for Weston Public Schools in Superior Court on Thursday, nearly two years after he was first accused of stealing gas from the school district.
Prosecutors dismissed the lone count of second-degree larceny against David Lustberg, 57, after he successfully completed a probation program granted in December 2019.
Attorney Guy Soares, who represented Lustberg, did not respond to requests for comment Thursday after the hearing in Superior Court in Stamford. ....
