A retired couple from Cisne is taking the lead on raising funds to replace the roof at the historic Nostalgia Theater in Flora (formerly the Town Theater). They have issued a challenge to others, like themselves, who are so excited for the future of the Theater. This anonymous couple recently attended the North Pole's Got Talent Christmas Play at Nostalgia over the weekend and fell in love with the building and what it meant to the children on the stage. On Dec 8 Wabash County Sheriff's Deputy stopped a truck on N 2150 Blvd. The truck was first observed at Highway 11 and E 400 Rd., a registration check returned suspended. Two individuals sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections yesterday. 43 year old Deanna Wright Grayville charged with Retail Theft, class 4 felony received 4 years DOC. Wright was arrested in August by Carmi Police Department. State's Attorney Denton Aud prosecuted the case. Judge T. Scott Webb was the presiding judge. 39 year old Jeremiah Burnett of Crossville charged with Unlawful Use of Property, class 2 felony he received 4 years DOC.Aggravated Battery, class 3 felony.3 years DOC.Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon, class 4 felony 3 years DOC. Burnett had previously been sentenced to probation in April of 2020 for the offenses; however, his probation was revoked in September of this year.
