Across the United States (US), there are 276 universities with a sailing program. Miami’s sailing team is climbing the ranks and currently sits in the top 25 with three national medals in the last four years.
The club sport has launched from the local waters of Biscayne Bay onto the national stage. Having shown exceptional skill and determination navigating challenging courses, the fleet now will compete at the Intercollegiate Sailing Association championships.
In preparation for the regatta, the 'Canes traveled to Biscayne Bay to practice some open water racing. The club split up into Orange and Green teams and faced off in several rounds of team races.
